Nvidia's chief guarantees covering any processor request, even amid chip shortages

New Nvidia Goal – Central Processor Market

Last week the company announced the launch of the RTX Spark platform, which is intended to be its answer to competition with Intel and AMD in the consumer CPU segment. This is Nvidia’s first public step toward creating its own chips designed for personal computers.

What the CEO says
Jensen Huang confidently stated that Nvidia has the resources to scale supply amid rapidly growing demand for AI.

> “We have secured volumes taking into account very rapid growth across all these systems… We’re still constrained on the supply side,” Huang said, citing Reuters.

He noted that Nvidia is now the largest buyer of Taiwanese products in TSMC’s infrastructure. While most production remains in Taiwan, TSMC has already begun producing 4‑nm chips in Arizona.

Why Vera CPUs Matter More Than GPUs
The CEO also spoke about server CPUs Vera, which he believes will be in greater demand than Nvidia graphics cards.

> “Central processors play a more important role in inference of already trained AI models. That will be our new main growth driver,” Huang said.

Attitude Toward the Labor Market and Wages
During the interview he commented on raising employee wages, comparing the situation to a strike at Samsung Electronics. Huang dismissed concerns that AI could threaten jobs:

> “AI implementation only contributes to revenue, profit, and GDP growth at national and global levels.”

Thus, Nvidia plans to expand its presence in the processor world by leveraging its own technologies and partnerships with leading chip manufacturers.
