Call of Duty in Game Pass: new release dates and library expansion

New Call of Duty releases will appear on Xbox Game Pass with a noticeable delay, but subscribers won’t be left without popular Activision military shooters in 2026.

PC Gamer reported that Microsoft intends to add even more older Call of Duty titles to the Game Pass catalog by the end of 2026. The information is based on an Activision source.

What’s already available
After acquiring Activision Blizzard, Microsoft added six series games to Game Pass:

1. Call of Duty: WWII
2. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
3. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
4. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019)
5. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022)
6. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2023)

What’s still missing from the catalog
All 16 Call of Duty releases to date are absent from Game Pass:

- Despite their age, most of them are still sold for PC and consoles at prices ranging from $30 to $60.
- Some titles, such as Call of Duty 2: Big Red One and Call of Duty 3, have never been released on PC.

How new flagship titles will be handled
New flagship Call of Duty games will appear in Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, but only a year after their release. The already added series titles are not planned to be removed from the catalog.

What this means for subscribers
The change allowed Microsoft to lower service prices:

- Game Pass Ultimate – from $30 to $23
- PC Game Pass – from $16.5 to $14
