British startup Humanoid launches mass production of humanoid robots HMND 01 with support from Bosch

The UK-based startup company specializing in robotics announced the start of serial production of the industrial robot HMND 01. During tests, the machines demonstrated full effectiveness in complex manufacturing tasks.

Partner role – Bosch
Bosch is not limited to supplying components:

- Strategic management – the company will lead the project from concept to finished product.
- Technical expertise – assistance in development and optimization of systems.
- Production and logistics – equipment planning, supply chain organization, and cost reduction.

HMND 01 platform
The robot is available in two configurations:

Configuration | Height (cm) | Mass (kg) | Speed (m/s) | Battery runtime | Payload
Two‑legged | 179 | 9 | 1.53 h | up to 15 kg |
Wheeled | 220 | 3 | 0.24 h | up to 15 kg

The wheeled model looks more “menacing” because of its height and mass, but it has higher speed and runtime.

Tests in Germany
In March the robots underwent trials at the German Bulle facility. In fully autonomous mode they transported boxes of various sizes and weights from a conveyor belt to a cart. The environment perception was handled by Humanoid KinetIQ AI system. Results confirmed both technical readiness and scaling potential.

Prospects
Bosch could expand its role: future robot versions may feature drives and sensors from the German manufacturer. In the long term, “self‑assembling” robots capable of producing their own successors might even be created.
