GeIL launches new DDR5‑8000 modules without XMP/EXPO

GeIL has introduced two new line of memory products that promise to run at 8 000 MT/s without the need to enable Intel XMP or AMD EXPO overclocking profiles.

Technical details – The modules are designed to operate without XMP/EXPO, making them convenient for users who do not want to modify the BIOS.

- Operating voltage 1.10 V meets JEDEC specifications, unlike most DDR5‑8000 modules that typically use higher voltage and overclocking profiles.
- Timings CL64‑64‑64‑128 place Spear V in a separate category compared to competitors where delays are usually around CL56–CL60.

Supported platforms – GeIL has optimized the modules for Intel Core Ultra 200 processors. Testing was conducted on motherboards with Z890 and B860 chipsets, paired with Core Ultra 5 245KF and Core Ultra 7 265K CPUs.

Comparison with competitors – Recently TeamGroup released DDR5‑8000 Elite/Elite Plus, which also run without overclocking at 1.10 V. Their timings CL56‑56‑56‑128 are slightly better, but they do not have the same feature set and design as GeIL.
