Google will soon introduce Google Book—a Chromebook alternative with full Gemini AI integration
Google launches a new line of laptops – Googlebook
According to the latest leaks, Google plans to replace its classic Chromebook brand with a new name, Googlebook. Several major PC manufacturers are involved in this project: Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, and Lenovo. Each will create its own version of the device, giving it a style characteristic of their brand.
> Key point:
> The new laptops will hit the market in the fall of this year.
What makes Googlebook special
The main difference is deep integration of artificial intelligence services:
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Magic Pointer | Reads context from the screen using Gemini to understand the situation. Provides additional information and can generate images for merging and editing photos. |
| Cast My Apps | Allows Android smartphones to be connected to the laptop and controlled directly from the system. |
Technical details are still unknown
At present there is no reliable data on the specifications of the future devices. Details are expected to be revealed at today’s Android Show I/O Edition presentation.
> Question:
> Will Googlebook run under the new OS – Aluminium OS? A recent leak showed that the new system works successfully on a MacBook with an M4 processor, but official confirmation is still lacking.
