Trump as an Intel shareholder.

After President Donald Trump became a shareholder in Intel, his interest in state participation in key sectors of the national economy becomes obvious.

OpenAI negotiations with the White House.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has been discussing for more than a year with the administration the possibility of transferring to the U.S. government a package of shares from his startup. The idea came to Altman last year, and the recent meeting of the CEO on White House grounds demonstrated the seriousness of the intentions.

Plan to create a “Public Welfare Fund”.

Under OpenAI’s proposal, the company could transfer part of its shares to the state. Based on them, a fund would be formed that would allow the government to invest in diversified assets and provide citizens with direct income from economic growth driven by AI. The fund is intended to serve as a long‑term support tool for the population.

Trump’s confirmation.

During a routine press conference aboard a government aircraft, Trump confirmed the existence of concepts that would “turn American citizens into partners” in investments. He announced an upcoming meeting with representatives of AI companies.

Sovereign fund and control over AI.

In February this year Trump signed an order establishing a sovereign welfare fund. The order also provides that developers of AI models must give government experts access to their products 30 days before public release, to ensure safety and obtain approval for further distribution.

Other state investments.

Besides Intel, the U.S. government is invested in IBM’s capital and several companies in quantum computing and critical mineral extraction sectors.

Thus, the Trump administration actively develops mechanisms for state participation in AI development and technology sectors while strengthening control over new models and creating financial instruments to support citizens.
