Chinese display giant BOE is considering supplying screens for Samsung’s future flagship

The Chinese manufacturer BOE has announced its intention to become a panel supplier for Samsung’s new Galaxy S27 smartphone. This decision came after BOE learned that CSOT (now part of the TCL group) had already signed a contract with Samsung to supply displays for the Galaxy A57 model.

- Second in volume is CSOT, which is already working with Samsung on the A57 project.

Given this structure, Samsung, according to unverified sources, is considering bringing BOE in as a backup partner for Galaxy S27 displays. However, a final decision has not yet been made.

Why Samsung might be interested in BOE

1. Cost savings – using external suppliers would allow the company to redirect its budget toward more expensive components, such as memory (RAM).
2. Price attractiveness – Chinese display factories typically offer lower prices compared with Samsung Display, which is especially relevant amid rising memory costs over recent months.
